A haven for art lovers

Can Ferrereta stands out as an exquisite enclave for aficionados of the visual arts, with a focus on the art of local and Spanish virtuosos. The artfully curated halls, fed by the renowned collection of the owner family Soldevila Ferrer, are home to works by luminaries such as Miro, Guillem Nadal and Jordi Alcaraz. A breathtaking 2 meters high, 280 kilo sculpture by the famous artist Jaume Plensa, a tribute to his native city of Barcelona, majestically watches over the garden and pool. And the visual narrative is completed by Barbara Vidal’s photographic time capsules, which capture the pre-renovation splendor of the property.

This image presents a striking diptych of two photographs, each showcasing distinct aspects of an outdoor setting. The left photograph features a large black sculpture resembling a human face in a shallow pool, with the back of a person's head visible behind it. The surrounding landscape is characterized by lush greenery and a tan stone wall, set against a clear blue sky. In contrast, the right photograph reveals an interior space with a curved white ceiling, featuring two tall sculptures on wheels standing upright against the wall. A staircase leads up to a second level, partially concealed from view.

Timeless elegance

At Can Ferrereta, design elements are woven with soul, where the interior décor plays a central role. The contrast of light-colored textiles and dark furniture in the accommodations creates an atmosphere of pure simplicity while maintaining a high level of comfort and elegance. Texture is a fundamental element of the design, with rustic plastered walls and the characteristic Santanyí stone playing a key role in the ambience. Each room, from the luxurious to the exclusive pool suite, is individually designed, combining bespoke pieces of furniture with select works of art.

In the shadow of the idyllic town of Santanyí

In the midst of Mallorca’s natural treasures, next to the extensive Mondragó Nature Park, sits Santanyí, a haven of inspiration and unpolished beauty. Beaches such as s’Amarador enchant with their natural splendor. The local market vibrates with life, offering fresh delicacies and authentic handicrafts. The region, which is also home to some well-known wineries, has long since established itself as a magnet for artists. With the opening of Can Ferrereta, Santanyí, this breeding ground for creativity, is opening up to the exquisite tastes of luxury travelers. And for travelers who want to enjoy the advantages of Mallorca’s capital, the sister hotel Sant Francesc (link) which is situated in a quiet location in the heart of Palma’s historic old town, is recommended.
