Over four transformative days, Andrea Bury is opening some doors for us to look behind the Magic of Marrakesh with its labyrinth of its small alleys where vibrant souks burst with color, scent, and sound and its secret gardens that reveal the city’s enchanting blend of tradition and modernity. Andrea lived in Marrakesh for two years and is running the Riad Anayela since 2008.
We begin with a visit to the ABURY Foundation’s projects in a Berber village, where you’ll meet the women and children shaping their futures through education and empowerment. Experience their way of life firsthand with traditional cooking and carpet weaving workshops, creating bonds that cross cultures and generations.
Delve into the heart of sustainable design with a visit to Artsi Ifrach’s Atelier, a celebrated designer who crafts unique pieces from high-end fabric waste. Or meet the vibrant couple Meryanne Loum-Martin and Gary Martin, who have dedicated their lives to conservation and design. She is a lawyer turned interior architect icon and her husband, an ethnobotanist, university lecturer, and founder of the Global Diversity Foundation. Together, they will share their journey to an organic lifestyle blending culture, nature, and community.
We will meet with more local (social) entrepreneurs on the way and hear inspiring stories and exchange ideas.
Wrap up your adventure with a mindful moment in the serene stone desert, featuring a refreshing meditation and an inspirational talk on gratitude by Dr. Florian Langenscheidt. Experience a breathtaking setting to reflect, rejuvenate, and connect with the energy of this extraordinary land.
